What is a life coach?
According to Oxford Dictionaries, the definition of ‘life coach’ is “a person who counsels and encourages clients on matters having to do with careers or personal challenges.” There are many different approaches and styles to life coaching. As a life coach, I provide support and guidance to help my clients achieve goals, improve relationships, enhance self-confidence, and create a more fulfilling life. This is mainly accomplished by helping clients decrease stress.
How is life coaching different from therapy?
While therapy often focuses on addressing past traumas and mental health issues, life coaching is future-oriented and goal-driven. Coaches help clients set and achieve specific objectives, improve skills, and enhance overall life satisfaction.
What types of issues can life coaching help me address?
Life coaching can address a wide range of issues, including career transitions, work-life balance, self-esteem, relationship challenges, personal growth, and overall well-being.
Does Dr. Stacey provide medical advice?
No, she does not provide any medical advice to her coaching clients. She is in no way acting as your personal medical physician. She is providing general wellness advice and tools in her role of a life coach; these are not meant to be interpreted as medical advice. You need to work with your own personal physician for any medical issues/problems.
